Earth Day Fun
BURSTING BEANS April 22nd is Earth Day.
Its a chance to celebrate Mother Nature and all of her gifts.
Its also a chance to learn about how things grow & how we can take care of the earth ... on April 22nd and everyday.
What You Need: a small clear jar,
dried beans,
water
lightweight tray or plate.
What You Do: Fill your jar to the top with dried beans.
Add water to the jar until it reaches the top.
Cover the jar with the tray.
Leave the beans in the water for a few hours, go back and see what happens!
Your beans will have soaked up all the water and expanded ... pushing the tray off the jar! Seeds become very strong when wet (this is what helps them sprout and grow in your garden) .
