These 3 1/2 to 4 inch long-lasting blooms are beautiful by themselves or in a bouquet with other flowers. Direct sow these flower seeds or begin indoors. The California Bluebell is native to the deserts of California. Its blooms are a vibrant cobalt blue, and it works very well as a cut flower. Darkness and shade help the California Bluebell seeds germination process. Hot days and cold nights, in conjunction with full sun or partial shade provide the best growing conditions.  This flower may be started indoors, but only if it is provided temperatures between 50 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Because of that requirement, it is usually best to start the seed outside. Big flower heads on tall sturdy stems. The Zinnia California Giant is a showpiece flower in the garden. Full sun, compost amended soils will bring about the largest flowers and tallest stems. Easy to grow annual with clusters of flowers in an array of pastel colors. Blooms in just 8 to 10 weeks. Also Known as "None-so-Pretty" one of the very easiest wildflowers to grow. Simply compress the seed into bare soil during spring, summer or fall.  Clustered flowerheads of tiny flowers.  Grows quickly, blooms heavily, dies with first frost. Chinese forget-me-not produces a profusion of blue flowers and gray-green foliage on stiff, upright stems. reliable self-seeder, this is a great addition to the cottage garden or flower border. This California native annual appreciates rich, moist soil. Plant spring or fall, and simply scatter seed on loosened soil and then compress the seed into the dirt. Do not cover with soil. Easy to grow. Clarkia has beautiful pastel flowers are easily grown from wild flower seeds across the United States. Originating in California.  Tolerates a wide variety of soil conditions but does not like heavy clay.  This annual will grow quickly, blooms heavily, and then dies with frost. Will reseed itself if wildflower seeds fall on to barren ground. A hardy annual native to the southeastern United States, and has naturalized throughout most of North America. The identifiable black, cone-shaped heads are surrounded by bright yellow, drooping reflexed ray flowers. Prefers full sun in various soil conditions.  Another wonderful variety for cut arrangements.

This stocky plant is loaded with very showy yellow, orange, and red flowers.  It grows up to 12" tall with 1-2" flower size. 
This fragrant flower has a feathery foliage that blooms all season long with pink, magenta, lavender and white flowers.  They are beautiful by themselves or mixed with others.  Reach heights of 4-5' tall with 1-3" heads.

A dwarf annual Lupin in delicate shades of blue, mauve, rose, pink, lavender and white including some bicolors. Will thrive even in a poor soil. Features long-spurred, two-lipped, miniature snapdragon-like flowers in upright-terminal racemes. Flowers bloom spring to fall in cool summer climates, but usually stop blooming in the heat of summer in hot climates.  Grows very quickly, blooms heavily, then dies with frost. A species of Pot Marigold or Scotch Marigold. Five Spot flowers prefer colder climates and need to be planted in an area with full, direct sunlight that provides only partial shade. They require cool, moist soil that is not rich in nutrients. When planting in warmer climates this flower needs heavy shade so that it does not die, it has a low tolerance level for high temperatures. It is a traditional source of greens for chop suey and soup and has ornamental yellow flowers, sometimes with white tips, depending upon the cultivar.  Grows very well in mild or slightly cold climates, but will go quickly into flowering in warm summer conditions.

This lovely annual from California prefers dry, hot conditions. Very easy to grow from seed.  Grows quickly, blooms heavily, dies with first frost. Can regrow following spring if seed falls on bare ground. The Gloriosa Daisy is not native to the United States. However, the Black-Eyed Susan, the cultivar that was utilized in the development of this flower, is native.   The Gloriosa Daisy is garden friendly and easy to grow. It provides a great cut flower and is a strong attractor of birds, bees and butterflies. It needs to be planted in an area that receives a wealthy amount of full sun. Being very drought tolerant, this flower loves heat and will grow tall without much water. These attractive and vividly coloured flowers make a brilliant border display and are excellent for cutting. Often grown as pot plants for flowering indoors during Winter. A hardy annual, flowers the same year in sun or partial shade. Giant Imperial Mix produces spikes of small single and double flowers in lavender, purple, pink, and white above finely cut foliage. With excellent blooms for fresh and dried arrangements, larkspur is a perfect addition to the cutting garden or a sunny border. These easy to grow annuals offer a lot of benefits to you the gardener and to other plants in your garden.  Edible leaves to spice up salads and a companion plant that helps ward off insect pests. Painted Daisy's are showy and reliably hardy.  Gorgeous 3" long-stemmed flowers easy for cutting.  The feathery bright green leaves of the Painted Daisy is finely divided and give the plants a delicate, ferny appearance.
